MGT Investment Management is pleased to confirm practical completion of all its 92 apartments within Battersea Power Station’s Electric Boulevard, forward purchased from developer Battersea Power Station in 2021.
The phased completion of the apartments, during 2022, has coincided with the opening of the Battersea Power Station in October 2022, bringing several hundred new shops, restaurants and cafes as well as event spaces and offices including Apple’s new London campus.
The apartments have all been leased in a short period following practical completion with rents being achieved ahead of the proforma business plan. The Electric Boulevard location has been well received, acting as the key thoroughfare connecting the new Northern Line underground station with Battersea Power Station. The strong demand has been a further testament to the continued long-term appeal of Battersea Power Station as well as the thriving neighbourhood and community which is now becoming established.
Callum Thorneycroft, Managing Director of MGT Investment Management, comments:
‘The strong rental performance we have seen is a testament to our stock selection and focus on investing in rental living developments benefiting from good transport and excellent amenities. We expect to see a similar trend in delivery of the first apartments at our Station Hill development (https://ebb-and-flow.co.uk/) which will be available from the middle of the year.’
